Ultrasonic microscopy, or acoustic microscopy, uses ultrasound of very high frequencies to produce images from inside an object. It is thus a non-destructive imaging technique. The lateral detail resolution reaches that of a classical light microscope, the depth resolution is much better.

Application areas

Our services

With ultrasonic microscopy PVA Vacuum Processing Service completes its service portfolio around diffusion bonding and vacuum brazing. In addition to the inspection of internally bonded and brazed components, it is also possible to inspect joints and analyze composite materials, as well as the laminates of your individual and series components.

Graphical evaluations and test reports are provided with the analyses.

A total of nine vacuum furnaces of differing useful volumes are available for vacuum brazing at the Wettenberg and Jena locations.
